GOV. COTTON CONCEDES

Nov. 4 – Tonight the people of this great nation dug deep into their collective conscience and raised up a new American president. They have chosen Barack Obama to lead them out of these dark times and guide them into the light.

I and the entire Frank Cotton for President team wish to congratulate Mr. Obama on his ability to unearth such great passion and support from the people who have voted him into office. He deserves heaps of admiration and a mound of congratulations for what he has achieved.

While we grieve for the opportunity that was lost, we will not remain grave for long. I and my supporters will not remain buried in gloom but will rise up again to confront the challenges that remain.

Thank you and may you all enjoy a period of rest and peace.

THERE’S STILL TIME!

NOV. 3 – John McCain is too old, too erratic and he has the very definition of inexperience riding on his ticket. Do you really want Sarah Palin representing the next in command as McCain’s pulse grows weaker and weaker?

Barack Obama is a slick talking snake oil salesman with no experience in foreign affairs and too many connections to radicals and malcontents. Do you really trust this unknown with socialist leanings and dubious friends to protect our country?

When you get into the voting booth on Tuesday, you might seize up with panic and mistrust over your choices. But there is one more possibility. It is not too late to vote for Gov. Frank Cotton, who has always been straight with you.

Opponents of the governor have never attacked his experience and record of service. They have only repeated inane rumors about how his son dealt with the loss of his young wife four years ago. Does that have any bearing on Frank Cotton’s ability to lead this country?

Frank Cotton guided his family through those difficult days of loss. It is another mark of his compassion and leadership and it is just one more reason why he is a better choice than Obama or McCain.

Vote Frank Cotton on Tuesday. And let the healing begin.

SEPT. 6 – Today, I became aware of a video released on reporter Joey Nilan’s personal web page. As I continue my campaign for the White House, I do not have the time or inclination to comment at length on Mr. Nilan’s absurd claims.

I  will say, however, that the video published at www.joeynilan.com proves only that this reporter is devoid of the most basic forms of journalistic integrity and human decency.

Over recent weeks, Mr. Nilan has exhibited nothing more than an ostentatious lack of taste and he has repeatedly intruded upon the personal lives of a grieving  family. Because of his reckless and baseless claims, the friends and family of Bethany Cotton have been forced to relive the tragedy of her passing.

Joey Nilan and the Androscoggin Journal should be ashamed of this fresh attack upon the Cotton family and it should not be condoned.
